FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A non-profit organization is an organization that is dedicated to a particular social cause or point of view.

What is a non-profit?

A fiscal sponsor is a non-profit organization that offers their legal and tax-exempt status to other organizations engaged in activities related to the sponsor’s mission.

What is a fiscal sponsor?

Acquiring tax-exempt status takes a long time. In the meantime, our fiscal sponsor allows us to keep our costs low and focus on generating other avenues of revenue to become more financially independent until we achieve tax-exempt status.

Why does P4P use a fiscal sponsor?

Yes. Thanks to our fiscal sponsor, all donations made to Partnerships for Permanence are tax-deductible.

Are my donations to P4P tax-deductible?

Our fiscal sponsor receives a small portion of your donation as compensation for their sponsorship and administrative duties.

Does P4P’s fiscal sponsor get my donation?

We don’t. Instead, P4P focuses on producing enough income to support our staff and mission, and to open up other avenues to achieve financial independence.

How does P4P generate a profit?
