Jasmine Carlson

Youth Consultant

The creative one…

Her Story…

Jasmine was adopted at the age of 6 and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Her Qualifications…

Jasmine wrote a grant for a community babysitting class and co-staffed the babysitting course for kids. She has helped teach a Red Cross online babysitting course and come up with fun learning activities, creating kid friendly menus that participants could taste and make for kids they babysit. One of the reasons she did it, was to help kids who did not have the transportation or funds to take expensive babysitting classes, but wanted to increase their babysitting skills and get certified.

Jasmine has also gained experience working at Boy Scouts of America both in and out of their office by teaching children leadership skills. She volunteers at her church and has gone on mission trips with them. Jasmine has also written an organic recycling grant for her church and helped get it off the ground.

Her Role…

As one of P4P’s Senior Youth Consultants, Jasmine appears at youth leaderships conferences for the purpose of providing trainings to foster and adoptive youth, adults, and industry professionals. Her most recent presentation was at the Tomorrow’s Leaders Today Conference in Duluth, Minnesota.

She also worked with the team on the LSS Pre-Adoptive training panel and P4P Listening Session with Child Welfare professionals.

Her Life…

Jasmine spends most of her free time exercising and baking with her three kids ages 4, 2, and a newborn!
